SUMMARY:Thriving in a Modern Veterinary Practice: Filling Up Your Appointment Calendar
DESCRIPTION:Rance Hampton, DVM\nAre fewer appointments showing up on your practice calendar, even as the demand for high-quality veterinary care continues to grow?\nAcross practices today, whether solo-doctor clinics or multi-doctor hospitals, maintaining a full appointment book and consistent client engagement is one of the biggest operational challenges. In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to meet pet parents where they are by strengthening your digital presence, re-engaging lapsed clients, and building long-term loyalty with strategies grounded in real-world clinic experience. You’ll learn how to apply vet-specific technology and data-driven communication tools to attract new pet parents, increase compliance, and lighten the administrative load so teams can focus more on delivering excellent care. Attendees will leave with a clear, actionable roadmap to fill schedules, boost client retention, and enhance the overall health of their practices, all aligned with the shared mission of advancing veterinary medicine and care in our communities.\nSpeaker Bio: Rance Hampton, DVM has dedicated his career to strengthening the human–animal bond and supporting the veterinary teams who make that care possible. Rance knew he wanted to become a veterinarian at the age of 12 and has never lost sight of that passion, beginning his journey in veterinary medicine as a kennel assistant at a small animal practice in Denver while attending high school.\nDr. Hampton earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University, graduating in 2002, and went on to practice small animal medicine for 13 years in general practice settings across San Diego, California; Anchorage, Alaska; and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. During his clinical career, he focused on surgery and emergency medicine and played a key role in helping transition a California general practice into a 24-hour veterinary facility.\nAfter more than a decade in practice, Dr. Hampton joined PetDesk to expand his impact beyond the exam room. As a Senior Practice Management Consultant, he leverages his firsthand clinical experience to help veterinary teams improve operations, strengthen client communication, and ensure pets receive the veterinary care they deserve through PetDesk’s suite of solutions.\n
