Associate or Partner Veterinarian Opportunity
Harvester Animal Clinic | Watson Road Veterinary Clinic | Hampton Animal Hospital
St. Louis, Missouri
Harvester Animal Clinic, Watson Road Veterinary Clinic, and Hampton Animal Hospital are a small group of independently owned, legacy veterinary practices seeking an additional associate or partner veterinarian. We are confident that once you learn more about our practices, our team, and our philosophy, you will see why so many veterinarians choose to build long-term careers with us.
Practice Highlights
You will join a highly educated, experienced, and collaborative clinical team of nine veterinarians supported by nine licensed veterinary technicians and several board-eligible technicians.
Our doctors include a University of Missouri valedictorian, experienced surgeons proficient in TPLO, bone plating, and advanced soft tissue surgery, as well as clinicians with advanced skills in dentistry and ultrasound.
We provide urgent care services and are equipped with a full array of modern diagnostic and treatment equipment.
Harvester Animal Clinic relocated to a new, purpose-built facility in 2022 featuring low-stress design elements, including separate canine and feline wings, separate treatment areas, and natural lighting in exam rooms. Similar facility upgrades are planned for our other locations.
“We are a group of veterinarians and paraprofessional colleagues who believe that veterinary medicine is the noblest profession—a calling to care for those who cannot care for themselves.”
— Dr. Schwartz
About the Practices
All three practices have served their communities for more than 40 years. The founders of Watson Road Veterinary Clinic and Hampton Animal Hospital remain actively involved in daily practice.
Hampton Animal Hospital has provided care for the St. Louis City and Airport Police Dogs for over 20 years.
We proudly support and provide medical care for several rescue organizations.
Surgical capabilities include TPLO, fracture repair, resection and anastomosis, splenectomy, entropion repair, and advanced wound management.
All practices are fully equipped with ultrasound.
Team Culture and Atmosphere
We foster a respectful, inclusive workplace where every team member is heard and valued, and where ideas are encouraged and acted upon.
We maintain a gossip-free work environment grounded in professionalism and mutual respect.
Our team is deeply committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to pets and their families.
Outside of work, you may find us at Topgolf, running an inflatable obstacle course, or sharing pizza in the neighborhood beer garden.
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, resulting in strong team morale and low turnover.
“We believe in providing comprehensive and dedicated service to our clients and patients. To that end, we continually develop our skills through study, continuing education, and mentoring one another.”
— Dr. Schwartz
Who Should Apply
We welcome applications from both experienced veterinarians and new or recent graduates.
Experienced veterinarians will find opportunities for continued growth through mentorship in advanced medicine and surgery, as well as optional pathways into leadership, management, and ownership. All doctors are viewed as partners in the practice, and we are actively developing an equity program for key team members.
Early-career veterinarians receive structured mentorship and strong technical support. Recent graduates in our practices have completed five-day surgery courses at the North American Veterinary Institute in Orlando, ultrasound training, and are scheduled to attend advanced dentistry courses. We will work together to create a personalized professional development plan.
Work–Life Balance
We respect your time and well-being and offer a hybrid schedule that allows for meaningful time away from the hospital. We believe happy people make better doctors.
No clinic is open later than 6:30 p.m.
Saturdays are generally half days.
A daycare facility is conveniently located across the street from two of our hospitals.
