A quick update from the MVMA Executive Board meeting this past weekend.
We covered quite a bit, including the association’s finances, membership, upcoming programs and events, legislative priorities, and some ongoing work around the Practice Act and Licensing Board.
A few things to highlight:
- Legislative Policy Forum: November 8 from 1:30–4:30 PM in Jefferson City.
- Practice Act Review: The task force is continuing its work and reviewing areas of the Act that may need to be addressed.
- CE Requirements: Based on feedback from members, further evaluation of the current CE hour requirements is being discussed.
- Membership: We continue to look closely at membership trends, retention, and ways to make MVMA membership more valuable to veterinarians.
- Looking ahead to 2027: Planning is already underway for next year’s priorities, programs, and initiatives.
