Doors open at 6:00 pm, speaker at 7-9 Speaker bio: I am a retired Police Officer with 22 years of experience with the Maplewood Police Department, Ballwin Police Department and the Wentzville Police Department.  I am currently working for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service, Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.  I started as a Senior Investigator with BNDD in September 2017 and was promoted to Asst. Bureau Administrator/Chief Investigator in August 2023.  I proudly served our country as an officer in the US Army Reserve and served during Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia. Missouri Controlled Substance Laws/BNDD Lecture Summary: Veterinarians will receive an overview of the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) and their responsibilities when dealing with controlled substances per Federal and State law and regulations. Feel free to submit questions in advance for our speaker to answer! Lecture Titles/Summaries: Lecture 1: Behavior Cocktails – the plans for immediately addressing common behavior problems in pets easily and efficiently in office for clients.   1 hour Lecture 2: No pain – No maim – fast-acting pain and anxiety-relieving medications and exam strategies to reduce in-clinic aggression for dogs and cats.  Tips for home care as well for clients and use of telehealth to assess and improve safe, less stressful care.   1 hour Lecture 3: Alternative therapies – what works, why, and how effective they are.
