Lecture title: Understanding the Connection between Health and Behavior.
Lecture Summary: We constantly assess and monitor our patient’s physical health, but what if any decline in health jeopardized their social relationships and wellbeing? Every action of every individual is the result of genetics, development, learning history, and health. We can actively help our patients stay healthy both physically and mentally.
Lecture title: Wild Boys: Evaluating Normal Puppy Problems and Which Puppies are Off the Charts.
Lecture Summary: This lecture focuses on puppy social development. We will explore normal- but annoying- and abnormal puppy behavior so that you can determine when you have a lemon. Then we will discuss what to do about it.
Lecture title: Land of Confusion: How to Understand and Treat Cognitive Dysfunction.
Lecture Summary: All dogs age, but not all dogs struggle with cognitive decline. We will discuss how to identify this illness and how to help our senior pets age with dignity.
Lecture title: Things that go Boom: Understand Noise Aversions.
Lecture Summary: Some dogs are terrified by booms, beeps, buzzes, or computerized sounds. We will discuss why dogs are scared of noises, how that fear can correlate with illness or pain, and how to help them ride out the storm.
Lecture title: Home Alone: How to Identify Separation Related Behavior and Do Something about It.
